The annual fishing challenge between Boort Angling Fishing Club and Lake Boga Sports Fishing Club took place at the picturesque Lake Meran, where anglers gathered for a weekend of friendly competition and camaraderie in the great outdoors.
The weather was ideal, with clear skies and calm waters creating the perfect setting for weekend of fishing.
Redfin were the main attraction of the day, with anglers reporting a high level of activity among these fish. While many small Redfin were caught throughout the day, Sharon made an impressive catch of a 35 cm Redfin, showcasing her angling skills.
In addition to the Redfin, there were also reports of sizable Carp being reeled in, with the largest Carp measuring an impressive 80 cm, adding an exciting variety to the day's catches.
In a closely contested battle, BAC emerged victorious, securing the coveted Annual shield for the year 2024. Their combined total catch of 89 cm outshone their competitors, showcasing their proficiency in angling and teamwork.
The fishing challenge wasn't just about the competition; it was a weekend filled with laughter, banter, and shared passion for fishing. Participants shared stories, tips, and bonded over their love for the sport, creating lasting memories and friendships.
